Legal — draft
Reservation terms
Draft for prototype only. This is not a final policy and requires legal review for the target market before launch.
1. What a reservation is
A reservation records that one verified person wants this product to continue. It is not a purchase, a pre-order, a deposit against a final invoice, or an investment of any kind. It confers no ownership, equity, or revenue interest.
2. The amount
The reservation amount is $1. This is not the product price. Where a project's published offer says so — as the LockPower Infinity early-bird arrangement does — the $1 is applied as a credit toward the later purchase, and must be redeemed using the launch instructions supplied for that project before the order is placed on Amazon. See the Payment Policy and Returns & Refunds pages for the customer-facing summary.
3. The threshold
A project continues to the next engineering stage when it reaches 100 verified supporters by the stated deadline. One verified person counts once, regardless of how many attempts are made.
4. Refunds
If a project does not reach 100 verified supporters by the deadline, the full $1 is refunded to the original payment method. The processing window and payment provider of record are to be confirmed before launch.
5. Early access
Reaching the threshold grants early-access standing. The scope of that standing, the ordering window, transferability, and expiry are to be confirmed before launch.
6. Cancellation by us
The policy where a threshold is reached but the project is later canceled is to be confirmed before launch. No commitment is made here.
7. This prototype
This site is a visual prototype. No payment is taken, no reservation is legally created, no account exists, and no data is transmitted to any external service. Any state you create here is stored in your own browser and can be cleared at any time.
